Diani Beach Shopping & Sightseeing
Diani is not just a place near the habitat of lots of marine and beach ecosystems; it is a beautiful cosmopolitan town. Enjoy shopping in the heart of Diani, where you can find the typical handicrafts from African craftsmen to high-end jewelry. With this guided tour, you can visit the best places to shop: local markets, shops, and shopping centers.
Pick up at your hotel by 09 00 hrs in the morning or 13 30 hrs in the afternoon and immerse yourself into the daily hustle of the locals.
Visit the Diani market flooded with a decent scope of products from trinket Kiondo (brilliant woven sisal sacks), textiles, adornments, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, spices, and other natural products.
Thereafter proceed to the Ukunda Showground Wood Carving Society where you will walk through the workshops and come into direct contact with the woodcarving in progress. Later on, you will have a chance to buy genuine African craftsmanship, wood, and soapstone carvings or in any event, design materials you could use for your home.
Later, jump into either The Carrefour or Chandarana supermarkets which are notable shopping centers situated by the beach road filled with both local and imported products. This of course will be blended by the multiple colourful african attire and garments sold by the local women by the roadside where you will be spoilt for choice.
Finally, visit the Diani Jewellers which will welcome you to a breathtaking line of fine designer jewelry in silver & gold alongside a variety of gems. Beautiful hand-crafted jewelry from Kenya, specializing in gold and precious stones, ornate jewelry, and everyday wear. Earrings, broaches, rings, and pendants for all tastes.
Appreciate African Gemstones, from tanzanite, tsavorite, aquamarine, and ruby among other priceless African gems sourced from Kenya, and the rest of East Africa. The Beads Women’s Factory is a mesmerizing showcase of age-old bead craftsmanship, where colors weave tales of tradition and empowerment.
